We all strive to look and feel our best. Diet and regular exercise are the cornerstones of staying fit, but sometimes, these are not enough to achieve the desired look and feel. Delivering advanced bipolar radiofrequency in a targeted fashion, BodyTite™ can help you achieve your goals with one procedure that delivers long-lasting results.

What is Bodytite™?

BodyTite™ is a new technology that uses bipolar radiofrequency energy, which heats up tissues to tighten skin specifically.

It is typically done during liposuction but can be done alone if liposuction is not necessary.

BodyTite™ is an FDA-approved device that uses radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL™) technology to reduce fat and produce effective skin tightening simultaneously.

It is often used to address areas of the body that have stubborn fat deposits and loose skin, such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, and love handles.

It can also be used as the primary treatment modality to tighten skin in areas such as the knees, elbows, neck, and face.

 How does Bodytite™ work?

Bodytite™ uses RFAL (Radiofrequency Assisted Lipo-coagulation) technology that addresses some of the shortcomings associated with traditional liposuction or surgical body lifts.

The technology implemented in the BodyTite device was developed to address the clinical concerns and problems associated with existing liposuction methods. RFAL is designed to deliver the features of an ideal liposuction, which are:

  • a minimally invasive technique using local anaesthesia,
  • inducing uniform adipose tissue coagulation for reduced extraction trauma,
  • coagulation of vascular tissue to reduce patient ecchymosis,
  • significant and consistent skin contraction.

In addition, Bodytite results in the patient experiencing a quick recovery with minimal pain, bruising, oedema, excellent contour with soft tissue retraction and reduced complications.

The BodyTite™ device consists of an external electrode overlying the skin and an internal cannula with an electrode on the tip inserted through tiny incisions. (Figure 1) The internal electrode delivers focused energy to fat and the deep surface of the skin, while the external electrode heats the skin's surface. This causes liquefaction of the unwanted fat and contraction of loose skin at the treatment site. Built-in thermostats on each electrode allow careful and specific monitoring of real-time tissue temperatures to prevent thermal injuries to the skin. It has been shown that heating the outer and inner surfaces of the skin to critical temperatures results in significant skin contraction. In addition, radiofrequency energy is a powerful stimulator of collagen synthesis. Over a period of several months, a thick layer of collagen forms under the skin in the treated areas. The treatment time needed to treat a specific target area is between 30 to 60 minutes per target area, depending on size and complexity.

Benefits of Bodytite™

If you can imagine it, you can do it: Abdomen (“belly fat or stomach fat”), arms, chest, knees, and inner/outer thighs are some of the most common treatment zones. Multiple areas can be treated in one visit. Each zone will take approximately 30-60 minutes of treatment. BodyTite gently treats fat in stubborn areas while contouring the skin, helping you sculpt your body into its ultimate shape.

The revolutionary characteristics and features of the BodyTite device provide the following benefits for surgeons and patients:

  1. 1. Fast and uniform melting of fat over large surface areas. This allows for treating contour irregularities and smoothening of “difficult-to-treat” areas.
  2. Lesser bleeding, bruising and pain from adipose and vascular tissue coagulation and reduced aspiration trauma.
  3. Safe and uniform heating of fibrous tissue within fat tissue and under the skin, with continuous temperature control for maximum safety. This promotes the best contraction of tissue and skin.

Ideal Candidates for Morpheus8™

BodyTite is an innovative procedure designed for patients who are seeking to treat stubborn fat areas and contour their bodies. It is an ideal solution for contracting and improving the appearance of skin which has been impacted by aging, stretching, or weight loss.

BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure that provides superior body contouring and delivers results only previously achieved through more extensive excisional procedures. With BodyTite, it is possible to achieve surgical-like results without large scars or prolonged downtime.

Recovery & Results

One of the advantages of BodyTite is that it produces noticeable results with less downtime and discomfort compared to traditional liposuction or surgical procedures like tummy tucks.

Depending on the extent of treatment, downtime can be a couple of days to 1-2 weeks.

Results or improvement can be seen immediately. With the right post-operative care regime, the best results are noticeable after 6 weeks and continue to improve over the next 12 months.

With regular exercise and a healthy diet regime, the final results are long-lasting or permanent.
