Threadlift

Threadlifting is performed using slowly absorbed suture with tiny barbs and small puncture holes in the skin, and placing these sutures in the plane just under the skin. It is a minimally invasive method of changing facial or body shape or reversing the ravages of gravity. Threads can be placed at the nose, cheeks, and jaw, amongst other areas, to subtly alter facial appearance.

How is the procedure performed?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia in the comfort of the clinic procedure room. Downtime from swelling and bruising can last about a week.

Who is a suitable candidate for threadlifting?

Threadlifting may be suitable for those with early to moderate signs of facial ageing, or individuals desiring subtle changes in facial appearance, with little downtime compared with open surgical procedures. However, limitations are that the effect usually last at most 1 to 2 years and do carry the risk of thread palpability and infection.
